The Airline Reliability Index was developed by the Adventus Punctuality team. It weighs delayed and cancelled flights against the total operations analysed to provide passengers with an objective reference.

What is the ARI and how should it be interpreted?
How to interpret the result
A higher ARI indicates a greater likelihood of significant delays or cancellations. An ARI of 0 represents a period with none of these disruptions among the operations analysed.
What makes it different
Unlike rankings that only report on-time arrivals, the ARI also considers cancellations and severe delays that directly affect the passenger experience.
Origin and scope
Adventus created the ARI to improve transparency and support informed decisions. It has been presented at international conferences, including UN Tourism, and its English name makes it accessible to a global audience.
