Answers about Adventus, the ARI Ranking, our reports and passenger rights in the event of delays and cancellations.
About Adventus
Who we are and the areas in which we work.
Where is Adventus based?
We are a multidisciplinary, multilingual group of professionals based in Argentina, with more than thirty years of experience in law, tourism and economics.
When was Adventus founded?
Adventus was founded in 2024 in response to the need for detailed punctuality information and specialist services for the tourism and aviation sectors.
What are Adventus’s areas of work?
We work in three main areas:
- Airline punctuality and intelligence reports.
- Legal advice for tourism, aviation and hospitality.
- Regulation and advice for nature tourism.
ARI Ranking and airline punctuality
How it is built, which period it covers and how to interpret the results.
What is the Airline Reliability Index (ARI)?
It is an index developed by the Adventus Punctuality team. It weighs delayed and cancelled flights against the total operations analysed to provide an objective reference for each airline’s reliability.
How should the ARI be interpreted?
The lower the ARI, the greater the reliability. A higher ARI indicates a greater likelihood of significant delays or cancellations. An ARI of 0 represents a month with none of these disruptions among the operations analysed.
What does the ranking score mean?
The score is a complementary reading calculated from the ARI to make airline comparisons easier. A higher score indicates greater reliability; each airline’s ARI shows the directly measured performance.
Which period does the ranking show?
The ranking shows each airline’s ARI for the most recent complete calendar month. For example, results shown during September correspond to August.
Why is ARI an English acronym?
The index is the result of work presented over many years at international conferences, including UN Tourism, and its English name makes it easier to communicate to a global audience.
Where does the punctuality data come from?
The data is collected from official sources: arrival records published by AA2000 and the respective official websites of Ushuaia, Trelew, El Calafate and Rosario airports.
Why are arrivals analysed rather than departures?
The measurement focuses on arrivals because arrival time is essential for planning a journey and directly affects the passenger’s tourism and business experience.
When is an arrival considered delayed?
A flight is considered delayed when it arrives more than 15 minutes after its scheduled time, according to information published by the official sources consulted.
What is the purpose of measuring punctuality?
It allows airline performance to be assessed across airports and routes, recognises carriers with stronger punctuality and helps passengers and businesses make decisions using objective information.

Passenger rights
General answers about flight delays and cancellations in Argentina.
Am I entitled to airport assistance for a weather-related delay?
No. Under Decree 809/24, the regulations currently in force do not provide a right to assistance when a delay is caused by weather conditions.
What if the delay has another cause?
For delays caused by operational or commercial reasons, such as the lack of an aircraft, you may be entitled to assistance when the delay exceeds four hours and the flight is between 00:00 and 06:00. Accommodation may also apply when it exceeds eight hours.
Is there automatic compensation for delays, as in Europe?
No. Argentina does not provide automatic compensation. You must submit a claim directly to the airline.
Can I file a consumer-protection complaint?
Article 63 of the Consumer Protection Act excludes flight delays and cancellations. We therefore recommend that you do not start that process for this type of claim.
